NEW HARLOW TOWN KIT TAKES OFF!
14/07/08
THE Hawks literally launched their new range of Joma kits on Saturday with the spectacular release of a number of environmentally friendly balloons.
A mass of red balloons, all carrying prizes from the club, were released from the car park roof at the Harvey Shopping Centre to mark the launch of the club’s new team wear.
Some even carried special tickets which will entitle the finder to claim a free replica shirt when the balloons are found.
“A lot of people at the club put in lots of hard work for this promotion and it really paid off to see the players release the balloons all at once,” said event organiser Billy Shaw.
“It was really spectacular when the balloons were let go. Most of them floated off in the direction of the Park Inn.”
A large number of first team players attended to help with the launch following their Saturday morning training session at Ladyshot, while several staff and volunteering supporters also lent a hand.
The club had possession of a promotional stand inside the mall for the entire day, where orders for the new shirts and other club merchandise were in high number.
Harlow MP Bill Rammell was also in attendance to lend his support, while club mascot ‘Hawkeye’ made a public return after an absence of over two years, posing for photographs with shoppers.
Free Joma kit bags were also handed out to some of the younger supporters.
Meanwhile, Harlow Town also had a presence at the Downs Primary School summer fete on Saturday afternoon.
