AMONGST the fodder in the mailbag at the Barrows Farm Stadium, there appears all manner of letters and requests, but none quite as intriguing as this one.
Postmarked ‘Oakton VA’ was a letter from a Harlow Town supporter in America, who has combined his love of football with his quest to trace his ancestry, which led him to the English town of Harlow.
The gentleman’s surname is ‘Harloe’, and he has discovered that some of his ancestors acquired the family name because they came from the Essex town.
As a supporter of the Hawks in the USA, he regularly visits this website to catch up on all the latest news about Messers Kirby, Lalite, Bunn and all the others.
And not to be left out, he recently downloaded one of our fixture posters, which we encourage our fans to download and help promote our home games via the Downloads page.
